Back for Christmas 2007! Christmas is in days!

This is the annual event that involves different radio stations linking up around Christmas time to talk live on both stations at once. The stations could be in different parts of the UK or in the same area (a hospital station and local commercial or BBC station for example). The suggested format is a chat by phone between stations about what's going on in the two places at Christmas ending with the same record played on both stations. Both stations of course need a telephone line which can be put on air. Of course if any stations are lucky enough to have more than one line, the link up can be even better! Or, you could have a quiz between both stations, perhaps between two hospitals or sets of listeners. Or how about a local commercial station or BBC station opening up their phone lines for their listeners to say hello to someone they know in hospital, either their local hospital or in another part of the country. Or maybe someone listening to a commercial or hospital station knows someone in hospital in another area they would like to say hello to. The idea began many years ago, and has been co-ordinated by this web site for the last few years. All you have to do is register your interest, your details will appear on this site, and then when you are looking for stations to link up with, come back to this site for all the contact information. This year, we have split the list into two sections, Christmas Day and non Christmas Day, to make it easier to find stations broadcasting at particular times. We have also listed the stations in order of times available rather than alphabetical order. So, what are you waiting for. It doesn't just have to be hospital radio stations - any commercial or BBC stations are welcome to take part as well (and have done in the past)! 14 December 2007 06:51:07 |
